Proud to Support our Troops

On December 8th, the Children’s Ministry midweek group truly learned about “Living Inside Out.” They made gift boxes to be sent to troops on the front lines.
The boxes are merely wooden blocks that are painted and then tied up with ribbons and bows. The “gift” is the poem that is included which reads:

This is a very special gift that you can never see.

The reason it’s so special is it’s just to you from me.

Whenever you are happy, or even feeling blue,

You only have to hold this gift, and know I think of you.

You never can unwrap it. Please leave the ribbon tied.

Just hold the box close to your heart —-

It’s filled with love inside.

Written on the front tag are the words —-

A Special Gift . . . to thank you for keeping me safe.

Christmas Hang-ups

On December 12, the Children's Ministry hosted a play titled "Christmas Hang-ups". A play about Christmas ornaments (and souvenirs) with the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus Christ. Each one of these children had the audience in laughter; whether it was from the "hula girl souvenir" or "frosty" the Christmas ornament, they all played a excellent role. While enjoying bouts of laughter, the audience was able to see our Lord through the works of these children, and the true meaning of Christmas.

MOPS Craft Day

With the smell of Modge Podge (craft glue), coffee, muffins, and hot glue guns, someone is bound to pass out. But not our MOPS moms, crafting till their hearts content, they enjoyed a morning of quiet time (until each mom was called to the nursery because their little one was crying) and fellowship, while crafting Christmas decor. Afterwards, Santa made an apperance for our little ones.

3rd and 4th Grade...

Part of the armor of God, as described by Paul, is the "breastplate of righteousness." What good is a breastplate? And more importantly, what does it have to do with righteousness? Well—let's find out. During Sunday school, the 3/4 grade class made their own Breastplates of Righteousness. Good Job guys!!
